He later completed his residency in Family Medicine at Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico 10 de Octubre in Havana.

In 1991, Dr. Armas immigrated to the United States, where he continued his medical journey while adapting to a new professional and cultural environment. After years of dedication and study, he obtained his U.S. medical license in 2002. Since then, he has served patients in hospitals throughout South Florida while also building a successful private practice dedicated to improving health, longevity, and overall well-being.
